The Board of Trustees of Tamatea Intermediate School hereby gives public notice that a vacancy for a parent representative has arisen on the Board.

In accordance with Schedule 23 of the Education and Training Act 2020, the Board has resolved to fill this vacancy by selection. The Board intends to select a replacement trustee and invites members of the school and local community to express their interest in this opportunity.

The community has 28 days to object. If at least 10% of eligible voters on the school roll request a by-election in writing, the board must hold a full by-election instead. If no such request is received after 28 days, the board must select a person within 6 weeks. The selected person takes office immediately upon the board's final motion to appoint them.
